Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy explains how DockTrellis ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through this website and, for pilot customers, through the DockTrellis product. DockTrellis is an early-stage company and this policy will be updated as the product and company develop.

1. Information we collect

Website enquiries. When you request a pilot or contact us, we receive the details you choose to send — typically your name, work email, company, role and message.

Pilot product data. If your organisation joins a pilot, we process the data it provides to operate the service, such as dock appointment records, carrier and trailer references, arrival updates, and the names and work emails of users. Arrival updates may include a driver or dispatcher's name or phone number if your team chooses to record them.

Technical data. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and request times for security and operational purposes.

2. How we use it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer data to serve advertising.

3. Customer data

For pilot customers, the customer controls the appointment and operational data it uploads. We process that data on the customer's behalf under the terms agreed with them, keep it separated by customer workspace, and do not share one customer's data with another.

4. Service providers

We use third-party providers to run the website and service. The DockTrellis product is being built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which would store and process data on our behalf. Providers only receive the data needed for the service they provide.

5. Retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Customer data is retained for the duration of the customer relationship and deleted or returned at the end of it, as agreed with the customer, unless we are required by law to keep it.

6. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit and at rest where supported by our providers, and activity logging to protect data. No system is completely secure, and we will notify affected customers of any security incident as required by law.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you are, you may have additional rights under local data-protection law. If your information was provided to us by a customer (for example, as a user of their workspace), we may refer your request to that customer.

8. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the page loads.

9. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
